OCEC has launched an LGBTQ+ Parent Support Group in partnership with Irvine United Congregational Church (IUCC), an open and affirming congregation for over 30 years. Although the group will meet on the IUCC campus, it is not a religious group.

This peer-led support group offers a space where parents can connect with others on similar parenting journeys. It's a place to share joys and frustrations, swap tips and resources, ask questions, and build a vibrant, supportive community.

We welcome all parents, guardians, family members, and loving friends. During meetings, we will also provide a dedicated space for kids, staffed by caring adults.
The group meets regularly on the 3rd Sunday of each month.   Please reach out to Myrna Bohan -myrnabohan@gmail.com to RSVP and for meeting time and location.

🎭🌈 FALSETTOS 🌈🎭
Directed by our own Pastor Craig Tyrl

Love isn't always neat. Family isn't always traditional. And sometimes the people who save us are the ones we choose.

Join in: Reserve Your ticket here

Thursday through Sunday: July 23–26 and July 30–August 2 | 8:00 PM

Falsettos is a bold, tender, and deeply human musical that explores family, love, identity, and belonging in all their messy, beautiful complexity. Set at the intersection of chosen family and biological ties, the story follows Marvin, his ex-wife, his son, his lover, and the community that forms around them as they navigate relationships, responsibility, and what it means to truly show up for one another.

Filled with humor 😂, heartbreak 💔, hope ✨, and a soaring score 🎶, Falsettos celebrates the courage to live authentically and the power of loving imperfectly... and loving anyway.

Presented by The Wayward Artist, this moving and unforgettable production is directed by Pastor Craig Tyrl and continues the company's commitment to bold storytelling, radical inclusivity, and transformative art.

🎟️ Special Offer for IUCC Members!

Use discount code IUCC when purchasing tickets to receive $10 off your ticket purchase.

🎟️Tickets and information: 8pm July 23rd-26th and July 30-August 2nd

SPARK - LGBTQIA+ Parent & Caregivers Support Group

Calling all supportive adults - parents, guardians, family members, and loving friends - of Rainbow Kids!

🏳️‍🌈🌟🏳️‍⚧️

Noises Off by Michael Frayn

Presented by The Parachute Project

June 18–20, 2026 at 7:30 PM - Buy Tickets Here!

🎭 Come for a night of laughter as we welcome The Parachute Project’s production of Michael Frayn's legendary farce, Noises Off!

Widely considered one of the funniest plays ever written, Noises Off follows a dysfunctional theatre troupe whose production slowly unravels into complete chaos. What begins as a dress rehearsal becomes a hilarious cascade of backstage drama, missed cues, slamming doors, misplaced props, and theatrical disasters. It's a brilliant celebration of live theatre and the wonderful unpredictability that comes with it.

IUCC is so proud to open our doors to local artists, storytellers, and community theatre. We hope you'll join us in supporting The Parachute Project and the growing arts community that continues to find a welcoming home at IUCC.

Please note: This production contains mature language and content and is not intended for young audiences.

Tickets are available here:

Congregational Meeting - All Church Meeting

We invite all members and friends as we as a congregation shape the life of our church - IUCC’s Spring Congregational Meeting will meet at 10:30am!

This is your chance to vote, ask questions, and engage with the future of IUCC. We’ll vote to elect leaders, hear reports from our boards and pastors, and consider other points of congregation-wide interest.

All corporate members are strongly encouraged to attend, lend a voice, and take part in the shared work of being church. Your presence and participation matter, whether you’re in the room or with us virtually on Zoom!

Meeting will be HYBRID - in person or online!

  • In Person - meet in the sanctuary at 10:30am after first service

  • Zoom - (link will be emailed out)

📱🖥️We’ve recently upgraded the audio/visual booth to improve the streaming experience, so the Zoom portion will be clearer and more reliable than it has been in the past. If you join online, you should notice a real difference in sound and video quality.

  • Watch your email for the congregational meeting packet and zoom links or email iucc@iucc.org.

Exploring Prayer Group

Monthly Prayer Group – All Are Welcome

Join us on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Peace Room for a time of shared reflection and spiritual practice. At IUCC, we believe in the power of prayer—and we recognize that it looks different for everyone. This group is open to all and offers a space to explore a variety of ways to pray, whether through silence, words, movement, or stillness. Together, we seek a deeper, conscious connection with the Sacred—something greater than ourselves.

No experience necessary. Just come with an open heart.

An Evening with Singers of Soul: The Gospel Project Worship

🎶The Gospel Project – Saturday, May 30
An Evening with Singers of Soul 🎤

Join us for a powerful night of music, community, and spirit as The Gospel Project welcomes the dynamic and electrifying Singers of Soul. This event is free and open to all!

Founded and led by vocalist and creative director Dedrick Bonner, Singers of Soul is a vibrant vocal collective with roots in both Los Angeles and New York. Blending gospel, soul, and contemporary music, they are known for their signature “wall of sound”—layered harmonies, featured soloists, and a full-bodied choral energy that fills the room.

More than a performance group, Singers of Soul is a community. Their work centers on inclusivity, joy, and shared human experience, creating spaces where all voices belong. Whether reimagining beloved classics or delivering original arrangements, their performances are both deeply moving and undeniably fun—inviting audiences not just to listen, but to feel and participate.

We are also honored to welcome Rev. William Moses Summerville, who will guide the evening with a Call to Worship and Benediction, helping frame the night in prayer and purpose.
