Stephen Ministry

In churches using the Stephen Series system of care, Stephen Ministry is a confidential, one-to-one care ministry that empowers and trains its lay congregants to provide high-quality, compassionate, Christ-centered support to those of us struggling through life's challenges.

The Purpose

Stephen Ministry offers compassionate, one-on-one support to members of the church community during life's difficult seasons. During times of grief and loss, difficult illness, troubling relationships, or any other crisis transition, our trained Stephen Ministers are there to listen, encourage, and walk alongside you with care and confidentiality. Each Stephen Minister completes an extensive eight-month training program, equipping them with the skills and understanding needed to provide extensive comfort and support.
