The Christmas Fund: A Century of Care and Compassion

For more than 100 years, The Christmas Fund has offered hope and practical support to those who have dedicated their lives to ministry. Every gift provides direct financial assistance to retired and active UCC ministers, church workers, and their families.

In 2024, your generosity across the UCC made an incredible impact—more than $1.7 million in assistance touching 766 lives. These gifts changed stories:

• A couple received hearing aids and could fully hear one another again.

• A family found safety with a plane ticket out of a war-torn region.

• Mounting medical bills were eased during a time of deep crisis.

Each gift was more than financial help. It was a reminder of God’s presence and the Church’s love.

This year, we invite you to join this community of compassion as we receive The Christmas Fund Offering on Sunday, December 21, 2025. Many churches give on the Sunday before Christmas, though Christmas Eve or Epiphany are also meaningful times.

Our 2025 theme speaks to the heart of the season:

“When they saw the star, they were filled with joy.” — Matthew 2:10

If you would like to participate, you can:

• Drop something in the plate on December 21,

• Mail a check to the church (please write Christmas Fund in the memo), or

• Make a gift online and select Christmas Fund as your designation.

May the same joy that guided the Magi fill our congregation as we support those who have served the Church so faithfully.
