Repair Café at IUCC

Irvine UCC Earth Matters, in partnership with Cool Irvine, is excited to host a Repair Café — a joyful space where neighbors come together to fix, reuse, and reimagine instead of tossing things away.

Saturday, October 18

Volunteers: 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Event: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Irvine United Congregational Church (Plumer Hall)

Here’s how it works:

• Repairers volunteer their skills to keep items out of the landfill.

• You bring those broken, dull, or worn items hiding in your closet.

• Together we build community, care for the earth, and save money while we’re at it!

What’s on the menu so far?

• Knife sharpening

• Bike repair

• Jewelry repair

Want to get involved?

• Repairers needed! Whether it’s mending, garden tool sharpening, or general fixes, your skills make a difference.

• Helpers needed! Greet folks, direct traffic, and spread the spirit of community.

• Creative souls welcome! Share fun crafts made from recycled materials.

• Repair-seekers needed! Save the date, bring your items, and let’s keep them out of the waste stream.

Let’s turn “broken” into “beautiful” — together!
