The Great American Write-In is a free annual community event that gives everyday people a powerful way to influence public policy. More than 60 organizations and advocacy groups will be on hand sharing information about some of today’s most pressing issues, including education, health care, human and civil rights, and the environment.

Participants move from table to table, learn about the issues, and then take action by writing letters and postcards to government and corporate decision-makers in the hope of creating meaningful change. In past years, as many as 550 visitors have generated more than 4,250 pieces of mail in a single day.

IUCC’s Advocates for Peace and Justice and our DEI Ministries will have a table at the event. Please stop by, say hello, and write a few letters. It’s a simple but powerful way to help change the world.
