In celebration of Earth Day, the Earth Matters and DEI committees invite you, your friends, and family to a special “Song of the Earth” ceremony, led by a Native Tribal Elder,
Please bring a chair as we gather on the lawn behind the sanctuary at IUCC. The ceremony will be followed by refreshments on the patio.
We are honored to welcome Adelia Sandoval, Spiritual Overseer and Cultural Director for the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians, Acjachemen Nation. Adelia is a ceremonial leader, song keeper, tribal teacher, and healer. She also serves on the board of the Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano, where she leads multi-generational activities that connect community and care for the Earth.
Adelia is active in many organizations that promote peace, justice, and healing for the Earth and all living things. All are welcome to attend this meaningful gathering.
