About Bylaws

Bylaws are the core governing rules of IUCC, approved by the congregation. They define how the church is organized, how decisions are made, who holds leadership roles, voting thresholds, and the mission of ministries and boards. They are the highest authority within the church's internal structure and can only be formally changed by a vote of the congregation.

About Policies

Policies are official rules or guidelines that support the church’s daily operations. Created and approved by either the Admin Board, Ministries Board, or both, these policies clarify the church’s application of its values and bylaws in real-world situations such as hiring, childcare, or using church space.

About Procedures

Proceduresare the step-by-step instructions for carrying out a policy. They explain exactly who does what, when, and how, so that church staff and volunteers can follow consistent, fair, and accountable processes.
