Sunday

School

Here at IUCC, our Sunday school program is for all ages! We split our groups by ages and tailor our curriculum to current day events, while still including lectionary. Our youth begin in “big church” with their adults, then following fresh word head to Plumer Hall with their teachers to engage in lessons, crafts, and play!

  • Currently we utilize Illustrated Ministries for the basis of our curriculum. However as an open and affirming, green faith church it is important to us to include current day events and relevant topics like Earth Day, or MLK day. Essentially, our teachers focus on teaching the bible through stories and relevant ways to apply their stories to modern day situations.

  • Children are checked in at our separate kiosk and then toddlers are welcome to be dropped off with our childcare attendant in Plumer Hall. 5+ year old kiddos will join their adults in the Sanctuary through Fresh Word, and then join their teachers in walking to Plumer Hall. In Plumer Hall they will separate by age and then break into age appropriate activities. Adults can pick their children up in Plumer Hall or on the Playground following service!

  • Beyond Sunday school we have bi-monthly family events. We also have parent nights out every month. For parents we have comma groups, women’s groups, and more! You can reach out to our Admin Pastor to get plugged in with IUCC.
