The Rev. Steve Swope is our Director of Adult Education & Special Programs.  He moved back to southern California after five years in Missouri as the pastor of Columbia UCC.  Before that he served six California churches as interim minister during a ten-year period – including IUCC from 2004-2006.

Steve has degrees from Heidelberg College and Harvard Divinity School and was ordained as a UCC minister in 1983.  In Missouri he helped start and was the first president for Columbia Interfaith Resource Center, a homeless-services agency.  He is also an on-air radio personality for KSBR-FM.
