Renowned biblical scholar and author John Dominic Crossan will present two lectures on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 at Irvine United Congregational Church.

At 9:00 am Crossan will speak on “The Claim of Divine Violence in the Old Testament.” At 10:45 am he will speak on “The Claim of Human Resurrection in the New Testament.” There will be time for questions after each talk.
Crossan’s latest books How to Read the Bible & Still Be a Christian and Resurrecting Easter: How the West Lost and the East Kept the Original Easter Vision will both be available for purchase and signing.
A separate dinner event limited to 50 people, supporting the Plumer Adult Education Endowment Fund, will also be available. The dinner will take place at Two Left Forks (6511 Quail Hill Parkway, Irvine CA 92603) at 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 26.
