Advocates for Peace and Justice
Advocates for Peace and Justice reviews public policy issues, with a goal of taking stands informed by Christian teaching. Advocates exchange information, and from time to time invite IUCC members and friends to support a position. A particular emphasis is on writing letters to local newspapers.

Child Care Center
The Child Care Committee creates a dynamic connection between the IUCC Early Childhood Center and the church community; provides oversight to the center’s operations, and assists the Early Childhood Center with special projects and quality improvement efforts.

Congregational Care
Provides loving support to the community and church members in time of need through prayer requests, sending greeting cards, delivering sermon CDs to shut-ins, assisting with memorial services, offering transportation, and working with the Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Drop by Coco’s Restaurant on Mondays at 8 a.m. and have breakfast with “the guys.” Coco’s is in the former Carrow’s Restaurant building at 28502 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo, just north of Avery Parkway, across from the Infiniti dealer.
Ministry With Young People – Children
We offer Kids’ Zone at 9:30 am for children ages 2-10. Kids’ Zone includes a well-known bible story lesson and activity. At 11:00 am, Sunday School is offered for children ages 2-18. We use Seasons of the Spirit, a lectionary-based curriculum, and classes are divided by grade.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets once a month on the second Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Plumer Hall. Some of us knit, some of us crochet, some bring snacks to encourage us, and some make the cards to attach to completed projects.

The Worship Ministry prepares the sanctuary for all worship services, including set-up, oversight and clean-up. We make appropriate assignments for worship leaders, acolytes, ushers and other helpers required for the smooth flow of services.
