These are disorienting days. The disconnection and enmity have taken a toll on all of us; on our families, our friendships, our local communities, our faith communities. What do we do to right-side things? How can we be agents of compassion in days when cruelty seems to be trending?
“Digital Pastor of the Resistance” John Pavlovitz will speak and answer questions in a virtual event at 10 a.m. (Pacific) on Saturday, August 29, hosted by Irvine United Congregational Church (IUCC). The cost to be part of the Zoom meeting is $10.

Pavlovitz, whose book A Bigger Table is being released in a new, expanded edition this fall, was scheduled to visit Irvine, California, in March when the Coronavirus halted travel and closed schools, churches, and businesses.
IUCC is excited to be presenting him at this challenging time in a virtual conversation on what to do when everything feels upside-down.
