We know from our phone calls to members during this time of isolation due to the pandemic that many in our community are feeling disconnected, isolated, and blue.  Many have reported feeling anxious and a little depressed due to the inability to enjoy familiar face to face connections.  While each of us has our own individual experience, we recognize that it is often helpful to share those feelings and experiences in a safe space with caring people.  We want to create such a space.

Our Congregational Care and Stephen Ministries, together with Pastor Sarah, would like to offer an opportunity to BE together while apart in the only safe way allowed these days:  by joining together “face to face” on Zoom.  During the upcoming Lenten season we are offering an opportunity to join together with our Pastor and each other for a supportive gathering of open conversation, structured by a “theme" coinciding with our Lenten season as we embrace "The Journey Inside" but with no agenda.  Commitments are not necessary.  Come as you will, and as you are.

The gathering will be held on Wednesday afternoons between 4-5PM on Zoom.

Fix your Covid “disconnect” with an IUCC “connect”.  As Ram Das said:  “We’re all just walking each other home”.  Let’s walk our inside journeys together.

Jenna McCarty will present parts of her presentation entitled Emergence. Jenna will express through song, art and poetry how we all struggle with mental health/painful feelings and how it is important that we face these struggles.
