Fall Women’s Book Discussion Groups Sign-Up

The Women’s Book Discussion Groups are reorganizing to read Brené Brown’s Atlas of the Heart beginning October 1. In this her latest book, Brown taps her extensive research to explore  human emotions and offer tools for understanding and expressing them.

Sign-ups are open now and will end September 30, or until the groups are full. Times/dates include 1 to 3 p.m. Friday afternoons at IUCC with a Zoom option, and 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. on either Wednesdays or Saturdays, whichever gets the most sign-ups. The location for the morning group is tentatively set for Mimi’s Café on Barranca in Irvine. To join a group, please fill out the embedded form.

Group size is limited, so don’t delay!

Leadership is shared in the book groups; participants take turns preparing questions and facilitating the discussion. Participants pledge to read the book and commit to faithful attendance.

Each group has a convener who keeps attendance, organizes and/or opens the meeting place, provides the Zoom link (if using), and is the group’s point of contact. Groups are offered at times/dates that are convenient to a willing convener—the more conveners, the more groups. If you would like to be a convener, email iuccwomen22@gmail.com with your availability.
